How to Print From Canva (Home Printer, Print Shop & Canva Print)

How to print from Canva on a home printer, at a print shop or with Canva Print

Quick answer: To print from Canva on your own printer, open your design and press Ctrl + P (Windows) or Cmd + P (Mac), then choose Use my printer. You can also go to Share > See all > Use my printer. For a print shop, download your design as a PDF Print file. For professional prints delivered to your door, select Print with Canva.

Canva now prints straight to your home or office printer, so you don’t have to download a file first. This guide covers all three ways to print a Canva design, the settings that make prints look right and fixes for the most common printing problems.

Steps checked against the Canva Help Center in October 2026. Canva updates its menus often, so labels on your screen may differ slightly.

How to Print From Canva on Your Home Printer

On a computer, pick whichever of these routes is easiest:

  • Keyboard shortcut: open the design and press Ctrl + P or Cmd + P. The first time, Canva asks how you want to print. Choose Use my printer, then Continue. You can set it as your default.
  • Share menu: select Share, then See all, then Use my printer.
  • File menu: select File, then Print, then Use my printer.
  • From the homepage: open the menu on a single design and select Use my printer. Canva prepares the file in the background, then opens your print window.

Your computer’s print window then opens. Choose your printer, set the pages, copies, color and orientation, and select Print. Canva prepares the file for printing automatically, so you don’t need to pick a file type.

For the best results, print one design type with the same page size at a time, and for Canva Docs, set the page size in the File menu first. Many home printers can’t print right to the edge of the paper, so leave a margin around important text and images.

How to Print From the Canva Mobile App

  1. Open your design in the Canva app on iPhone, iPad or Android.
  2. Tap Share, then See all, then Use my printer. You can also use File > Print > Use my printer.
  3. Choose your print settings and tap Print.

Your printer has to be set up on your phone or tablet first, for example on the same Wi-Fi network or connected by Bluetooth. Printing isn’t supported in a mobile web browser, so use the app or download a PDF instead.

How to Download a Print-Ready PDF for a Print Shop

Print shops usually want a high-resolution PDF. Before you download, turn on File > Rulers and guides > Show margins and Show print bleed so important content stays inside the safe area and the background reaches past the trim line.

  1. Select Share, then Download.
  2. Under File type, choose PDF Print. It exports at 300 dpi.
  3. Tick Crop marks and bleed if your printer asks for them.
  4. Choose a color profile. CMYK is the print color model and is available on Canva Pro, Teams, Education and Nonprofits. RGB works on every plan.
  5. Select Download and send the file to your print shop.

Always check the print shop’s size and bleed requirements before you order. If your PDF looks soft or pixelated, our guide to fixing a blurry Canva PDF export walks through the usual causes.

How to Order Professional Prints With Canva Print

Canva Print turns your design into a printed product and ships it to you, or offers in-store pickup in some areas. It covers business cards, flyers, invitations, posters, stickers, mugs, tote bags and t-shirts, and ships to North America, Europe and the UK, Asia, and Central and South America.

  1. In the editor, select Print with Canva at the top, or go to Share > Print with Canva.
  2. If asked, resize your design to a printable format.
  3. Choose the product specifications, such as paper, finish and quantity, and the pages to print. Then select Continue.
  4. Proof the design carefully. Turn on Automagically fix if Canva flags issues.
  5. Select Checkout, or Add to cart if you’re ordering several items.
  6. Enter your shipping details and payment method, review the summary and select Place order.

To browse products before designing, open Print Shop from the homepage side panel, or select More if you don’t see it. In some countries, you can print up to 30 versions of one design as a set with the same specifications, which is handy for name badges or personalized cards.

Tips for Prints That Look Like Your Screen

  • Use print-safe colors. Screens use RGB and printers use CMYK. Very bright colors like neon pink or electric blue usually print more muted, so choose slightly softer shades.
  • Order one test copy. Canva notes that nearly every print product can be ordered as a single copy, so test colors and paper before a big order.
  • Use sharp images. Low-resolution photos look fine on screen but print blurry.
  • Respect margins and bleed. Keep text inside the margins and stretch backgrounds into the bleed area.
  • Proof yourself. Canva’s support team doesn’t review designs before printing, so check spelling, dates and contact details. Our guide on spell checking in Canva helps.

FAQs

Can I print from Canva for free?

Yes. Printing to your own printer and downloading a PDF Print file are free on every plan. You only pay if you order prints through Canva Print, and CMYK color profiles need a paid plan. See how much Canva Pro costs.

Where is the print button in Canva?

Select Share > See all > Use my printer, use File > Print, or press Ctrl + P or Cmd + P. The Print with Canva button at the top of the editor is for ordering professional prints.

How do I print double-sided from Canva?

Put the front and back on two pages of the same design, then choose two-sided printing in your computer’s print window if your printer supports it. For professional double-sided items such as flyers, business cards or double-sided posters, order them through Canva Print.

How do I print several small designs on one sheet?

Create a Letter or A4 design, copy your business card, label or tag onto it several times and line the copies up with guides, then print that page. Leave small gaps between copies so you have room to cut.
